Grief can feel overwhelming, and there is no simple timeline for walking through the pain of loss. Some days may bring moments of peace, while others make the hurt feel fresh all over again. Wherever you are in that journey, you don’t have to walk through it alone or without hope. God meets us in our sorrow, stays near to the brokenhearted, and offers a comfort the world cannot provide. His Word reminds us that He sees our tears, carries us through our deepest valleys, and has given us an eternal hope through Christ.
As you read these Scriptures, our prayer is that you’ll be reminded that God is near, He is faithful, and you can rest in His presence one day at a time.
7 Bible Verses:
- Psalm 34:18 – “The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.”
- Psalm 147:3 – “He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.”
- Matthew 5:4 – “Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.”
- Psalm 23:4 – “Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I fear no evil, for You are with me; Your rod and your staff, they comfort me.”
- John 11:25 – Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life; he who believes in Me will live even if he dies…”
- 2 Corinthians 1:3–4 – “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who comforts us in all our affliction so that we will be able to comfort those who are in any affliction with the comfort which we ourselves are comforted by God.”
- Revelation 21:4 – “He will wipe away every tear from their eyes; and there will no longer be any death; there will no longer be any mourning, or crying, or pain.”
